This Sauvignon Blanc opens with a captivating bouquet of mineral and stone, evoking a sense of place and terroir. On the palate, it offers a delightful interplay of flavors, prominently featuring refreshing notes of grapefruit and sliced pineapple. There is a mineral character that lends a crispness and clarity to the wine. The grapefruit note adds a zesty brightness, while the sliced pineapple introduces a subtle tropical sweetness that balances the overall profile beautifully. This wine cries out for warm, sunshine days, filled with time by the pool or time by the water. Its vibrant acidity provides a lively structure that enhances the fruitiness and prolongs the finish, leaving a lingering impression of citrus and minerals. Mirror Sauvignon Blanc is a perfect embodiment of its varietal characteristics, offering a refreshing and complex experience that is both versatile and enjoyable.

Appellation
Calesa Vineyard
A beautifully poised expression of White Burgundy, this wine opens with a bright, crystalline citrus profile—lemon zest and mandarin peel dancing with vibrant acidity that immediately uplifts the palate. On the nose, delicate aromas of white florals float just above the surface, adding a subtle perfume that enhances its elegance without coming across overwhelming. The new oak is judiciously applied—more a whisper than a statement—bringing a soft creaminess and a hint of toast that rounds out the wine's precision with a gentle touch. The texture is silken, refined, with a mineral backbone that speaks to its terroir. A wine of finesse and quiet confidence, it lingers with a citrusy persistence inviting another sip. Perfectly balanced between vibrancy and depth, this is a mountain Chardonnay that speaks rather softly but leaves a lasting impression. I believe cellared correctly, this wine will age with grace over the next 10 to 15 years.

NEW RELEASE!
The ’23 Mirror Cabernet Franc pours a vibrant garnet hue, clear at the rim with moderate staining, suggesting both ripeness and inviting elegance. A note to some, following 2022, the 2023 season was a much cooler vintage in the Napa Valley revealing the red vs. black spectrum of nearly every Bordeaux varietal made this year. Hence, in this current release, the nose opens with expressive aromas of fresh, ripe red fruits. Think for moment, raspberry compote, wild strawberry, and red currants, layered with subtle floral undertones and a hint of warm spice. On the palate, it displays a fleshy, medium-plus body with a supple texture and a sweet fruit core, delivering red cherry and plum, accented by touches of dried herbs and faint graphite. The wine’s middle is generous yet refined, leading into a balanced back palate where bright acidity and fine-grained tannins provide certainty of structure without overshadowing the fruit. There is a delightful dance going on here with an elegantly tapering finish. Harmonious and approachable now, with the structure to evolve beautifully over the next few years. I believe cellared correctly, this will drink it’s best in 5 years with a lifetime out to 15 years, or even longer. Bottled unfiltered and unfined.

One can tell from the start by just looking that this black wonder is a racy, brooding and full of expression. On the nose, it bursts with intense aromas of black fruits—think ripe blackberries and luscious black cherries—intertwined with subtle notes of dark cherry that add complexity. A whisper of clove enhances the bouquet, lending an intriguing spice that complements the fruit.
In the mouth, the wine is plush and full-bodied, showcasing a rich tapestry of flavors that envelop the palate. The tactile mouthfeel is velvety, making each sip a luxurious experience. The fruit is abundant and ripe, with a depth that evolves beautifully, especially after being opened for 24 hours. The finish is long and satisfying, leaving a lingering impression of dark fruit and gentle spice that beckons you for another glass. This wine truly flourishes with time, revealing layers of flavor and texture that make it a memorable choice.
We believe cellared correctly, this wine will shine through 2038 and beyond.

The 2022 Mirror Rutherford is a classical tour de force of this noble varietal grown in an appellation so near and dear to my heart. Growing up in Rutherford, in the Napa Valley, this wine is a walk down memory lane when I would ride my bicycle and point my nose up to the dry, dusty nuances carried in the dry Fall air. Anyone who spent enough time in vineyards wore that smell on their skin and clothes like a musk. I can remember this like yesterday.
It checks the many boxes of pure black cherry, crisp dried currant fruits, black olive, and clove scents. The palate offers a plethora of bold characters! Dark chocolates flood over the tongue to meet with fresh dark fruits, youthful acid liveliness, and a strong, and driven tannin, that carries on a lengthy back palate.
There is muscle, yet restrain, in this wine and without hesitation I believe that if well cared for, this very enjoyable Cabernet will survive to 2044 and beyond. Aged 21 months in 80% new French Oak and bottled unfiltered and unfined.
